Powers and abilities
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Longevity (Has been alive for millions of years)
- Regeneration (At least Mid-Low; Was stated to have a "robust self renewal ability" which allowed him to survive a nuclear blast)
- Large Size (Type 1; Around 15 meters before the mutation)
- Underwater Breathing (Type 2)
- Bodily Weaponry (Conventional; Claws, tail and teeth)
- Stealth Mastery (Was unnoticed by the crew on Odo Island)
- Adaptation (After being struck by an atomic bomb, Godzilla adapted to absorb the energy and use it)
- Extreme Heat & Fire (Has withstood various explosions, and being set on fire)
- Radiation (Godzilla is a prehistoric creature, mutated due to nuclear radiation, which is presented as an explanation for his great size and strange powers)
- Immortality (Type 2 & 3)
- Regeneration (At least High-Mid; Survived and regenerated after being blown into chunks, leaving just his heart)
- Body Control (Can control his dorsal plates)
- Enhanced Large Size (Type 1; Now 50.1 meters tall after the nukes were dropped)
- Radiation Manipulation (His energy source)
- Energy Projection, Energy Manipulation & Breath Attack (Godzilla's signature weapon is the distinctive atomic heat ray he fires from his mouth)
- Explosion Manipulation & Heat Manipulation (His atomic breath causes a nuclear-like explosion)
- Light Manipulation (When charging his Atomic Breath Godzilla's dorsal fins glow ominously, and then he lets loose with a concentrated blast of radiation from his mouth)
- Disease Manipulation, Power Bestowal, & Resurrection (Can infect humans, as he did with Noriko. Thanks to Godzilla's cells Noriko acquired abilities such as being able to resurrect after being dead, something that Director Takashi Yamazaki confirmed)
- Supernatural Willpower (He continues to fight even after his body has been suffering critical levels of damage, leaving him in a mutilated state due to the explosive decompression of being forced to surface immediately afterward suffering the incredible sudden pressure from being submerged 1,500 meters)
- Extreme Heat & Fire (Has withstood various massive explosions, and being set on fire)
Weaknesses
Although his outsides are extremely durable, his insides are far more susceptible to damage. Godzilla is unable to fire his atomic breath in rapid succession due to the burns and physical injuries it inflicts upon him, which take time to heal. After being forced to the surface in the final stage of Kenji Noda's plan, he seemingly had trouble firing his atomic breath, likely due to the same reason. Despite his amphibious lifestyle, Godzilla is susceptible to injury from rapid compression and decompression caused by sudden changes in ocean depth.
Ranked #131 of 562 in Godzilla by strength.
