  • Photographic Memory (Index has perfect memory, allowing her to recall things that happened for a split second, like an image on a surface like a balloon or bottle she has seen for just an instant after the surface is destroyed, or each frame of a 30 fps anime and then instantly examining them all to search for inconsistencies in the animation from frame to frame. Index's memory has also been used to memorize people's motions, allowing her to excel in sports like Darts if she understands it intellectually and can make herself evolve too fast for people to catch up)
  • Spell Intercept (Through using Notarikon codes, she can interfere with and hijack a spell formula that a magician has been conjuring in their head, allowing her to take control of their spells, or allow her to seal away the spell's powers)
  • Sheol Fear (Through the use of group psychology to break through psychological defence, she can point out and impeach the contradiction of the basis of the religion or theory of magic that has been cast and causes a breakdown in the enemies mind, causing people to fall into despair and have their survival and defensive instincts go haywire just to get away from her)

  • Transmutation and Durability Negation (Matter destroyed by Dragon Breath will be turned into feathers of light as pure white as the beam itself, which can fry a person's brain if they come into contact with it)
  • Bodily Weaponry (Can create red wings from her back, freely manipulate the size and shape of the wings and use them as weapons)
  • Danmaku (Her Red Wings can burst, releasing and shooting dozens of red light beams at an enemy from countless angles at the same time. Sulfur Rain Will Scorch the Earth is a spell that throws about 50 arrows from top to bottom that can drill and burn the target)

  • Mind Manipulation (Resisted the rune that Stiyl placed on her, which has a restraining effect on the mind and body due to a psychological effect. Upon Shokuhou Misaki trying to mind control her with Mental Out, which works by her manipulating fluids in the brain to cause her targets to follow her every whim, it triggered her John's Pen Mode which then resisted the control)
  • Mind Deconstruction, Soul Fusion and Corruption (Has read and memorized over 103,00 grimories by being a person with a special disposition which has a natural mechanism in their brain that defends against the contamination from Original Grimoires, which protects her from Originals shattering her mind, destroy her personality, or from them fusing with her soul and corroding it)

Weaknesses

Is normally unable to use magic or fight on her own, requiring John's Pen mode to do so. Spell Intercept is useless against spells that she has no knowledge of their workings, completely autonomous automatons and spells that are not cast through chants/mental commands. In John's Pen Mode, her thought process becomes extremely rational and will determine anyone who tries to get her to snap out of it, be it friend or foe, as a target to be destroyed. She can be controlled by a special remote while in John's Pen Mode.
