Powers and abilities

  • Superhuman Physical Characteristics
  • Master Swordsman
  • Enhanced Senses (all demigods have senses better than a regular mortal's),
  • Analytical Prediction (Demigods' ADHD allows them to see which way their opponents will move or strike, as shown by Percy vs Ares),
  • Extrasensory Perception (Demigods can sense power, the presence of evil, or whether someone is a half-blood)
  • Liquid Manipulation, (despite being the Son of the Sea God, Percy's control over liquid is immense, as it applies to more than just water, or things with no water in them whatsoever. It allows him to manipulate liquid fire, such as the River Phlegethon, pure misery and sadness in liquid form, such as the River Cocytus, and by technicality, doing all of this is in itself manipulating blood, as the Five Rivers of the Underworld are the Blood of Tartarus)
  • Empowerment when submerged in water
  • Underwater Breathing (Types 2 and 4) (As the son of Poseidon, he can breathe underwater and on land, and manipulate the water around him to create an air pocket)
  • Limited Air Manipulation
  • Weather Manipulation
  • Electricity Manipulation (Can create storms such as miniature hurricanes, but only in a localized area, with sparks of lightning being an aftereffect rather than an ability under Percy's control)
  • Limited Earth Manipulation
  • Limited Ice Manipulation
  • Poison Manipulation (Can manipulate any water-based poison by manipulating the water inside of it)
  • Limited Clairvoyance (Can see the future in the form of dreams)
  • Animal Manipulation (Can communicate with equine creatures and nearly any sea animal under Poseidon's domain)
  • Regeneration (At least Mid-Low; when in contact with water)
  • Vehicular Mastery (He has the innate ability to pilot any maritime vessel)
  • Acrobatics (jumps and somersaults around in combat, leading other characters to wonder if he practices gymnastics)
  • Supernatural Willpower (He lifted the sky, which requires the Heart and Courage of a True Hero, was able to temporarily resist the Cocytus, which had millions of minds and voices in his head, and endured the banks of the Acheron)
  • Limited Invulnerability (He cannot suffer any injury from falling into water no matter the height he falls from.)
  • Limited Illusion Creation, Reality Warping, and Perception Manipulation (Percy can control the Mist to create illusions, such as when he made it appear to mortals that a presidential motorcade was passing by. The Mist creates imagined items in the eyes of mortals to make them perceive supernatural occurrences in a way they can comprehend)
  • Limited Fear Manipulation (The "Wolf Stare" learned from Lupa can scare away weak-willed individuals with a glance)
  • Limited Magic Manipulation (an untrained Percy could use a warding-off-evil gesture against Gabe to shut a screen door on him)
  • Invulnerability with the Curse of Achilles (With the exception of his weak spot on the rear of his back opposite his navel, Percy will not be able to suffer any sort of laceration, stab wound, or blunt force trauma)
  • Summoning (Can summon Mrs. O'Leary with his Stygian Ice Whistle)
  • Limited Telepathy through his empathy link with Grover Underwood.
  • Extreme Temperatures (He withstood the heat of lava and has been struck by lightning on numerous occasions with only minor burns)
  • Water Manipulation (As the demigod son of Poseidon, Percy cannot be harmed by water under normal circumstances)
  • Electricity Manipulation (took both lightning bolts and electrical shocks from Thalia and Jason Grace on separate occasions, recovering quickly)
  • Soul Manipulation (Survived being hit by Backbiter which can rip souls from bodies, though it still had a little effect on him, as he felt extreme pain and deliriousness. Later he easily weathered the River Acheron, which attacks the soul with the weight of all one's sins)
  • Power Nullification (Percy was able to overcome Phorcys's tank made to contain demigods)
  • (Limited) Illusion Creation, Reality Warping, and Perception Manipulation (Demigods can see through the Mist which creates imagined items in the eyes of mortals to make them perceive supernatural occurrences in a way they can comprehend)
  • Sleep Manipulation (Putting demigods to sleep is stated to be harder than doing the same to mortals)
  • Mind Manipulation (At 12 years old, he was able to resist the mind-altering effects of the Lotus Hotel and Casino, which can normally keep people under its spell for decades with resistance being seemingly impossible.)
  • (Limited) Memory Manipulation (Resisted the mental strain of bathing in the River Styx, which is stated to sap the memories of anyone who submerges themself in it.)
  • Disease Manipulation (demigods couldn't get sick from COVID-19 though they could still transmit it)
  • Acid Manipulation (Resisted the acid of Akhlys, who is the primordial being that represents misery and poison)
  • Time Manipulation (While in contact with water, he was able to negate the time slowing effects of Kronos, the Titan of Time)
  • Madness Manipulation (Stated that being near Dionysus, the god of madness, could widen the cracks in one's psyche, and Percy & the other demigods have endured extended stays in Dionysus’ camp without losing their sanity)

Weaknesses

He highly values the lives of his allies and will sacrifice himself for them. His battle instincts make him headstrong, impulsive, and hot-blooded. When he had the Curse of Achilles he would die if struck in a place on his back that was just above navel height, and he would run out of stamina quickly, but the curse has since been removed. As a demigod, he can be slain by both conventional and supernatural weapons. Using his demigod powers extensively drains his stamina

Ranked #27 of 99 in Percy Jackson by strength.
