Powers and abilities

• Superhuman Physical Characteristics
• Skilled Marksman with Hacking Gun
• Social Influencing (Is the heir to a massive financial conglomerate. He is also part of a secret council that governs the world from the shadows, which has more influence than the members of the Diet. He acts as the substitute leader for Future Foundation's 14th Division when Kyoko isn't available)
• Hacking and Electromagnetism (Via Hacking Gun, as explained here and here). Can also use several types of "Word Bullets" with the Hacking Gun, including:
• Energy Projection (Via the BREAK bullet),
• Heat Manipulation (Via the BURN bullet)
• Electricity Manipulation (Via the PARALYZE bullet)
• Shockwave Generation (Via the KNOCKBACK bullet)
• Technology Manipulation (Via the MOVE bullet)
• Light Manipulation (Via the DETECT bullet)

Weaknesses

He is extremely confident in himself, which can sometimes lead to mistakes rooted in arrogance. Byakuya's mindset relied too much on calculations and cost-benefit diagrams, especially in how he judged people, focusing mainly on what was most efficient or advantageous while ignoring human emotions, though this tendency becomes less prominent after the events of Trigger Happy Havoc. The Hacking Gun operates by firing Programming Codes in the form of Electromagnetic Waves, which hack a machine's internal systems upon contact. Because of this, the Hacking Gun only works on machines (Such as Monokuma or the Warriors of Hope robots). It has little to no effect on non-mechanical targets, though certain electronic objects like Toko's taser can also be hacked.

Ranked #8 of 100 in Danganronpa by strength.
