Powers and abilities
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Genius Intelligence
- Acrobatics (Can jump incredible distances, perform rapid dashes off the ground and in the air, and preform flips to dodge attacks. Can perform an "air recovery" to recover from knockback)
- Enhanced Senses (Can fight in fog so dense that it's difficult to even see one's own hand in front of their face. Easily blocked a silent attack from behind. Blocked, and dodged Shez's numerous attempts to attack them from their blindspots. Noted by Hubert to be unusually watchful, and difficult to steal from while asleep, despite being able to sneak up on others without issue, with Ferdinand claiming that he materializes when people least expect him)
- Non-Physical Interaction (Capable of harming illusions)
- Accelerated Development (Training/Battle/Leveling; Physical Statistics, Magic, Skill, Luck, Magic Resistance, Charm. The Experience Gem, and Knowledge Gem increases the amount of experience earned, and skill experience earned respectively. The skill Professor's Guidance increases experience gain)
- Weapon Mastery, Martial Arts and Marksmanship (While their preferred fighting style is with swords, they also specialize in gauntlets, and unarmed combat. - Vector Manipulation (Can redirect midair arrows to hit their opponents)
- Danmaku (Can rapidly shoot a large amount of arrows at once)
- Magic, Status Effect Inducement, Durability Negation and Elemental Manipulation (Can use Reason Magic, as well as Light Magic, with them becoming proficient in the latter. They can also imbue their normal attacks with the elements Fire, Lightning, and Light. Hitting an opponent with an elemental attack can inflict them with certain status effects. Magic completely bypasses physical defenses such as armor, or thick hides)
- Fire Manipulation, Magma Manipulation, and Explosion Manipulation (Can use Fire Attacks, and Magic, such as Firesweep and Ragnarok, which also inflicts opponents with the Burning status, which sets them on fire, and slowly drains their health)
- Ice Manipulation (Can use Ice Attacks such as Iceblade, which inflicts opponents with the Frozen status effect, which freezes the opponent, and makes them unable to move or attack)
- Electricity Manipulation (Can use Lightning Attacks, and Magic, such as Thunder, which inflicts opponents with the Shocked status, which electrocutes the enemy, and causes them to discharge electricity)
- Light Manipulation, Life Manipulation (Life Steal), and Holy Manipulation (Can use Light Attacks, and Magic, such as Aura, which can also heal the user upon damaging the opponent)
- Air Manipulation (Can use Wind Attacks such as Windsweep, which inflicts opponents with the Windtorn status, which makes them take heavy damage if launched into the air)
- Darkness Manipulation, and Statistics Reduction (Can use Dark Attacks, such as Dark Magic, which inflicts opponents with the Spellbound status, which makes them move more slowly, have reduced defense and magic resistance, and make it so guarding does not reduce damage taken)
- Healing (Via Healing Magic, such as Heal and Recover. This can heal up to Low-Mid damage, as Healing in Fire Emblem has been shown to be able to heal stab wounds through the torso)
- Restricted Flight (All magic users can levitate off the ground, and move around in such a state)
- Danmaku (Can rapidly cast a bunch of spells at once)
- Damage Boost (Via Critical Hits, which deal triple damage to the enemy. Additionally, by performing a "Perfect Dodge" (ie, dodging right before an enemy's attack lands), all of their attacks will become critical for a short period of time. Rapiers deal effective damage against Cavalry, and Armored enemies. The Combat Arts Grounder, Bane of Monsters, and Ruptured Heaven deal effective damage against Flying enemies, Monsters, and Dragons respectively)
- Air Manipulation (Can hit opponents from a distance, even with melee weapons)
- Status Effect Inducement (By depleting an enemy's stun gauge, which is revealed through certain actions such as using effective attacks, magic spells, or combat arts, the enemy is knocked down, and left unable to move for a short period of time. The Combat Art Mortal Struggle makes the stun gauge appear with all attacks)
- Healing (via Healing Items such as Vulneraries, and Elixirs. The Combat Art Healing Focus restores half of Byleth's HP. This can heal up to Low-Mid damage, as Healing in Fire Emblem has been shown to be able to heal stab wounds through the torso)
- Power Mimicry (Can learn different Combat Arts, and Spells just by observing an ally perform them)
- Statistics Amplification, Aura, and Immortality (Type 2) (via Awakening, which envelops the user in a blue aura, strengthens their attacks, makes the enemy's stun gauge appear at all times, and makes their HP unable to reach 0. Additionally, with the skill Miracle, they are able to survive at least one lethal attack)
- Regeneration (Low-Mid. via passive healing skills, and items such as Renewal, and Sacred Weapons. Healing in Fire Emblem has been shown to be able to heal stab wounds through the torso)

The skill Vantage allows the user to always attack first if their HP is ≤ 50%, and restore a small amount of the Warrior, and Awakening Gauges with Perfect Guards. As a Sword user, they are strong against Axe users)

- Supernatural Luck (Through skills and items such as the Goddess Ring, can increase their luck, which increases their Avoid Rate, Hit Rate, and lowers the risk of enemies activating Critical Hits both conditionally, and passively)
- Extrasensory Perception (Could sense the darkness within Dimitri after just meeting him, despite showing no signs of it at that point in the story. Has been stated to have insights that border on precognition, though this may just be the result of Byleth rewinding time)

- Time Manipulation, Immortality (Type 4), and Resurrection (With Divine Pulse, Byleth can stop, and reverse time at will, which activates automatically if they are felled in combat. However, they can only think, and are unable to move when time is frozen, and can only rewind time up to 10 times)
- Power Nullification (The Crest of Flames can occasionally prevent an opponent from counterattacking)
- Acausality (Type 1. Byleth maintains memories even when time is altered)
- Longevity (Due to being granted a Crest after birth, they have an abnormally long lifespan, allowing them to live for hundreds, if not thousands of years, much like the Nabateans, which can live for as long as the latter)
- Limited Purification (Type 1) and Power Bestowal (Their blood should have the same effects as those of the Nabateans, and Apostles, which grants the recipient a long lifespan, and cures them of any diseases they may have)
- Immortality (Type 4. Due to having the Crest of Flames, they possess the blood of Sothis, which can revive people, as shown with Nemesis, albeit in an unknown timeframe)
- Self-Sustenance (Type 1. Lacks a heartbeat. Slept at the bottom of a lake for 5 years as the Enlightened One)
Weaknesses
Base (Academy Arc)Base (Three Hopes: War Arc)Enlightened One Using Combat Arts, and Magic Spells uses up more weapon durability. There is a difference between basic magic attacks, and magic spells. Basic magic attacks do not use up weapon durability, while magic spells do. Has been shown to act recklessly, especially in the heat of the moment. For instance: They once threw themselves before an axe to save Edelgard, when they easily could've blocked it. They charged into an enemy's trap in an attempt to avenge their father. Divine Pulse has a limit to how far back it can rewind time, can only rewind time up to 13 times, and can’t be used to change what is fated to happen, such as Jeralt’s death. Using a Hero's Relic can be taxing on the wielder, wearing away at their soul, and a result of over-usage, can risk the chance of the user transforming into a Demonic Beast. Though, the latter typically only happens after an entire lifetime of usage, or if the user doesn't have a Crest, or to a much lesser extent, an incompatible Crest. Same as Base (Academy Arc), Is susceptible to being controlled by Sothis if their life is at serious risk. Same as Base (Academy Arc), Using Sothis' power can put an immense strain on Byleth's body, which has caused them to pass out on a few occasions.
Ranked tied for #9 of 160 in Fire Emblem by strength.
