- Superhuman Physical Characteristics
- Weapon Mastery (As a barbarian and officer of the Flaming Fist, Marcus is a decorated combatant capable of wielding practically any weapon- his preferred tool of combat is a masterwork magical greatclub)
- Non-Physical Interaction (The magical nature of Marcus' attacks allow him to strike even intangible, incorporeal, abstract, and nonexistent foes normally, as well as strike at creatures who exist simultaneously in different planes at once)

- Necromancy (He can summon hordes of flying ghouls with a roaring shout; he can also call on other types of necromantic allies, such as crawling claws)
